Ich habe Lust auf Rrraaaaammsteeeeein

Mis preferidos de mi época en Alemania. Me encanta la ironía de sus letras, visualmente también resultan muy atractivos y por supuesto el sonido. Ellos son unos de mi colección personal.

Rammstein /'ramstain/ es un grupo alemán formado en 1994 por Till Lindermann (voz), Richard Z. Kruspe (guitarra solista), Oliver Riedel (bajo eléctrico), Paul Landers (guitarra rítmica), Flake Lorenz (teclado) y Christoph Schneider (batería). Es sonido del grupo puede clasificarse como metal industrial con toques de otros estilos o como ello lo definen: Tanzmetall (metal de baile). Están englobado en el movimiento Neue Deutsche Härte (la nueva dureza alemana).  Han vendido 15 millones de copias. Han ganado 2 Grammys con Du Hast (tú tienes) y Mein Teil (mi parte)

El nombre viene de la ciudad alemana Ramstein donde tuvo lugar un accidente de 3 aeronaves acrobáticas de la Frecce Tricolori. Dos de ellas chocaron en aire y otra cayó sobre el público provocando la muerte a 70 personas. La doble "m" viene de la raíz del verbo rammen (chocar) junto a "stein" (piedra) por lo que el nombre significa Piedra de Choque. Los componentes niegan la relación pero llegaron a actuar bajo el nombre de Rammstein-Flugschau (Espectáculo aéreo de Rammstein). Una de las primeras canciones que compusieron se llamaba con el grupo y trataba sobre el suceso.

Todos los miembros nacieron en la antigua República Democrática Alemana. Kruspe huyó de ciudad natal Schwerin a través de Hungría y Austria hasta la República Federal Alemana donde funda el grupo Orgasm Death Gimmick. Tras la caída del Muro de Berlín en 1989 regresa a Schwerin y toca durante un tiempo en Das Auge Gottes (el ojo rojo). Conoce a Till, ex nadador y componente de First Arsch. Finalmente se unieron los compañeros de piso de Kruspe: Oliver Riedel (The Inchtabokatables) y Christoph Schneider (Die Firma - la empresa). Su primera actuación fue el 14 de abril de 1994 en Leipzig.

Sus letras tocan tabúes y temas controvertidos como sadomasoquismo (Bestrafe Mich, Ich tu dir weh), el incesto (Tier, Wiener Blut), el abuso sexual (Halleluja), la necrofilia (Heirate much), la violación (Weißes Fleisch), el canibalismo (Eifersucht, Mein Teil), el sexo y la violencia. Algunas de sus canciones están influenciadas por obras literarias, sobre todo alemanas: Dalai Lama es una adaptación de Der Erlköning de Goethe y Rosenrot en el poema Heideröslein del mismo autor; Du riechst so gut del libro El Perfume de Patrick Süskind; y Stein um Stein de El Barril de Amontillado de Edgar Allan Poe.

Escriben sus letras mayoritariamente en alemán. Según Riedel: "El idioma alemán queda bien con el heavy metal. El francés podría ser el idioma del amor, pero el alemán es el idioma de la furia". Es habitual los dobles sentidos y los juegos de palabras en sus textos. Acompañando a sus letras y sus vídeos siempre está la polémica. El vídeo Ich will fue estrenado un día antes del 11S y casualmente aparecían caracterizados como terroristas. La emisión del mismo se restringió a la franja nocturna e incluso se pidió su prohibición. Tras la masacre de Columbine (Colorado) salieron de nuevo a la luz porque se comentó que Eric Harris y Dylan Klebold eran seguidores de la banda. Y tras la masacre de Beslán (Rusia) en el diario The Independent se mencionó que los secuestradores escucharon a Rammstaein durante el asedio policial. Según Lorenz: "la polémica es divertida, es como robar fruta prohibida. Pero tiene un propósito. Nos gusta que nuestro público se enfrente a nuestra música, y la gente se ha vuelto más receptiva (a ella)".

Du hast:

"du hast mich" es "me tienes" y du "haßt mich" es "me odias" son frases homófonas y la anfibología se resuelve al terminar la oración: "du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt" es "me has preguntado y yo no he dicho nada".

One of my favorite group from my time in Germany. I love the irony of their lyrics, visually they arevery attractive and of course the sound. They are one band of my personal collection.

Rammstein / 'ramstain/ is a German band formed in 1994 by Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Z. Kruspe (lead guitar), Oliver Riedel (bass guitar), Paul Landers (rhythm guitar), Flake Lorenz (keyboards) and Christoph Schneider (drums).

It is the band's sound can be classified as industrial metal with touches of other styles or define as it's defined by Tanzmetall: dance metal. They are encompassed by the Neue Deutsche Härte movement (the new German hardness). They have sold 15 million copies. They have won 2 Grammys with Du Hast (you have) and Mein Teil (my part).

The name comes from the German town Ramstein where an accident with 3 aerobatic aircraft of the Frecce Tricolori took place. Two of them collided in the air and another fell on the public killing 70 people. The double "m" comes from the root verb rammen (collide) with " stein " (stone) so the name means Stone Crash. The components deny the relationship but came to act under the name of Rammstein - Flugschau (Airshow Rammstein). One of the first songs that the group wrote was called like the band and tried about the event.

All members were born in the former German Democratic Republic. Kruspe run away from his hometown Schwerin through Hungary and Austria to West Germany where he founded the group Orgasm Death Gimmick. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 returned to Schwerin and plays for a while in Das Auge Gottes (red eye). Met Till, exformer swimmer and First Arsch's component. Finally roommates joined to Kruspe and Till: Oliver Riedel (The Inchtabokatables) and Christoph Schneider (Die Firma - The Company). Their first performance was on 14 April 1994 in Leipzig.

His lyrics touch taboos and controversial topics such as sadomasochism (Bestrafe Mich, Ich your dir we), incest (Tier, Wiener Blut), sexual abuse (Halleluja), Necrophilia (Heirate much),  rape (Weisses Fleisch), the cannibalism (Eifersucht, Mein Teil), sex and violence. Du hast:

"du hast mich" is "you have me" and "du haßt mich" is "you hate me". They are homophonous phrases and the amphibology is solved on having finished the setence: "du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt" is "you has asked me and I say nothing".

Enrique Bunbury

Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izardui , alias Enrique Bunbury. He adopted his stage name from a character in "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde.He was the vocalist of Heroes del Silencio and began his solo career in 1997. In the list of the 250 best albums of Latin American rock :

He began his career at age 12 when his first electric guitar with 5,000 pesetas (5 dollars) that was saved to buy it. In 1980 he played in a group called Apocalipsis at the school. Between 1981 and 1983 he played drums and was the Singer of Rebel Waltz and played bass on Proceso Entrópico (Entropic process). Also he was the vocalist of group Zumo de vidrio (Glass Juice), the band which became into Héroes del silencio.

The transition between Heroes and Bunbury was complicated. His first album was positively received by critics, but rejected by the public who was very faithful to Heroes of silence and didn't understand the artist's change. In the record presentatioon, Enrique was mocked and the publicjust was shouting: "heroes, hereos". The artist even considered abandoning the music: "I need an audience to make me grow as a musician, not one who make me to play 'Entre dos Tierras' and as I did by Héroes del silencio".

With his second album, with hints of cabaret and Mediterranean sounds, gradually the public was accepting the change. According to Enrique: "I set out to make the record that I need and I need Pequeño. I didn't care if people don't understand what I wanted to do. I wanted do it an I have to abandone the music, I'll do it".

With the third, where there are song with over 150 sound tracks, came the full acceptance. The álbum went gold disc upon its release, in concert tickets was sold out and long lines formed to get an autograph from Bunbury.

He is currently one of the most important Latin American art scene.

Comenzó su carrera  a los 12 años cuando se compró su primera guitarra eléctrica con 5.000 pesetas (30 euros) que tenía ahorradas. En 1980 tocaba en un grupo del colegio llamado Apocalipsis. Entre 1981 y 1983 tocó la batería y fue cantante de Rebel Waltz y tocó el bajo en Proceso Entrópico. Después fue el vocalista de Zumo de Vidrio grupo que pasaría a ser Héroes del silencio.

El paso de Héroes a Bunbury fue complicado. Su primer disco fue recibido positivamente por la crítica pero rechazado por el público quien era muy fiel a Héroes del silencio y no entendió el giro de 180 del artista. En la presentación del disco, Enrique fue vituperado y el público no dejaba de gritar: "héroes, héreos". El artista llegó incluso a plantearse el abandonar la música: "Necesito un público que me haga crecer como músico, no que me haga tocar toda la vida Entre dos tierras y encima como lo hacía con Héroes".

Con su segundo álbum, con toques de cabaret y sonidos mediterráneos, llegó paulatinamente la aceptación del público. Según Enrique: "Me propuse hacer el disco que me saliera, y me salió Pequeño. Me daba igual si la gente no lo entendía. Quería hacerlo y si me tenía que retirar, pues me retiraba. Así me lo planteé".

Con el tercero, donde hay canciones con más de 150 pistas de sonido, llegó la aceptación total del público. Fue disco de oro en su lanzamiento, en los conciertos se agotaban las entradas y se formaban largas colas para conseguir un autógrafo de Bunbury.

Actualmente es uno de los artísticas más importantes del panorama latinoamericano.

Rock'ñ'Roll: Extremoduro

Sorpresa, sorpresa... ¡¡un grupo en activo!! Y además es uno de los longevos, pero como no les conozco hoy vamos a aprender la mayoría algo nuevo.

Extremoduro es un grupo de "rock transgresivo" (como ellos se definen) o "rock urbano" español fundado en 1987. El fundador "Robe" Iniesta ha sido el único miembro estable de la formación. Iñaki Antón, productor y guitarrista, llego en 1993 y ha sido de los componentes más activos de la anda. Completan el grupo Miguel Colino (bajo) y José Ignacio Cantera (batería).

Están considerados como uno de mejores grupos del rock español de la historia. A lo largo de su historia han vendido más de 3 millones de discos.

Robe grabó su primera maqueta haciendo "crowdfunding" mucho antes de que se inventara el término: la vendía por anticipado con vales de 6 euros. Para entonces ya desintoxicado de las drogas duras, compuso Jesuscrito García - himno atemporal a la heroína - o Extramaydura, canciones que se incluyeron en el primer álbum Tú en tu casa, nosotros en la hoguera (1989). Sus conciertos eran salvajes e imprevisibles, noches buenas y otras noches...

Las drogas hicieron mella en el grupo durante años lo que provocó la salida y la entrada de nuevos componentes. Tras los tres primeros discos Von Fanta, El Sucio y Salo dejan la formación. Lleva el cuarto álbum ¿Dónde están mis amigos? con el que se convierten en uno de los grupos más importantes de España por su incorrección política y su estilo crudo. Con el éxito se reeditan sus anteriores discos con nuevos arreglos.

Tras seis años de sequía creativa el grupo regresa con nuevo álbum y gira, con los que consigue afianzarse en el mercado español. En 2012 comenzaron su gira al otro lado del Atlántico con países sudamericanos donde han conseguido un gran éxito.

Surprise, surprise ... An active group ! And it's one of the long-lived, but as you know today we will learn something new majority.

Extremoduro (hard extrem) is a spanish group of  "transgressive rock" (as they say) or "urban rock" founded in 1987. The founder "Robe" Iniesta is the only permanent member of the formation. Iñaki Anton, producer and guitarist, came in 1993 and has been one of the most active components of the band. The rest of members are Colino Miguel (bass) and José Ignacio Cantera (drums).

They are considered one of the best Spanish rock groups in history. Throughout their history they have sold over 3 million records.

Robe recorded his first demo by "crowdfunding" long before the term was invented: the sold vouchers in advance with 6 euros. By then, detoxified hard drugs, he composed Jesuscrito García - timeless poem to heroin - or Extramaydura, songs that were included on the first album you in your home, we at the stake (1989).

Metallica: incombustible(s)

Si ya he dicho que he crecido escuchando a Papa Roach ¿qué voy a decir de Metallica? ¿Larga vida a todos sus componentes? Sí, por ejemplo. ¿Esperando para verles en el día 26 en Grammys? También. Esta semana tengo de banda sonora mientras que curro los álbums de Load and Reload que son los que yo descubrí a la banda y ¡me encantan! Y por supuesto The Black Album (o Metallica, imprescindible en tu colección).

Metallica se funda en 1981 en Los Ángeles por Lars Ulrich y James Hetfield a los que se sumaron Lloyd Grant y Ron McGovney. Estos dos últimos fueron sustituidos por el guitarrista Dave Mustaine y el bajista Cliff Burton. Dave dejaría la banda un año después y crearía a Megadeth. Kirk Hammett, procedente de exodus, sería su sustituto. Con el accidente sufrido por Cliff en el '86 llegaría a la banda Jason Newsted, sustituido 15 años después por Robert Trujillo (es lo que tienen las bandas con una larga trayectoria: una larga lista de ex-componentes).

Las ventas totales del grupo superan la nada despreciable cifra de 100 millones de álbums. Están considerados como unos de los 4 grupos más importantes del trash metal junto a Megadeth, Slayer y Anthrax. Por supuesto han ganado numerosos premios: 9 Grammys, 2 MTVs, 2 American Music Awards, etc., etc., etc.

Metallica comenzó a gestarse gracias a la afición de Ulrich por el heavy metal de los '70, cuando la NWOBHM (nueva Ola de Heavy Metal Británico) estaba en auge en Europa y en Dinarmarca de donde Ulrich es originario. Cuando Lars llegó a Los Ángeles se centro en explotar su capacidad musical junto a otros jóvenes. Llegó a publicar un anuncio en la revista Recycler para encontrar a un guitarrista. Sería James Hetfield, hijo de un propietario de una compañía de camiones y una cantante de ópera que respondería al anuncio y aunque al principio a James no le convencía la forma de tocar de Ulrich, acabarían llegando un entendimiento.

El nombre de la banda fue idea de un amigo de Lars, Ron Quintana, quien barajaba los nombres de Metalmania y Metallica para un nuevo fanzine musical. Lars con muy buen criterio recomendó a su amigo el nombre de Metalmania para su revista.

En sus inicios ensayaban en un local que Hetfield compartía con Ron McGoyney quien fue convencido por James para tocar el bajo y quien diseñaría el famoso logotipo de la banda. Tras una larga e intensa búsqueda de un guitarrista influido por Iron Maiden y Motorhead, Lloyd Grant hizo acto de presencia. Llego así la primera demo Hit the Ligths (1981). Lloyd fue rápidamente sustituido por Mustaine completándose de este modo el grupo.

El debut fue el 14 de marzo de 1982 en el Club Radio City de Anaheim. El debut no estuvo exento de problema debido a la inexperiencia de la joven banda. Dos semanas más tarde corrigieron los errores en el Whiskey-A-Go-Go de Los Ángeles. Pero aún así se platearon la posibilidad de buscar a un nuevo vocalista, Sammy Dijon (de los Ruthless) hizo las pruebas pero no llegó a cuajar. Lo mismo pasó con John Bush, Armored Saint y Jesse Cox; así que Hetfield siguió al frente.

En 1982 su primera demo: No Life 'til Leather (en posible homenaje a No Sleep 'til Hammersmith de Motorhead), con siete canciones y una versión más potente de Hit the Lights. Aparecen los primeros problemas con Mustaine. Lars y James le ofrece el puesto a Cliff Burton quien inicialmente lo rechaza. A finales de año y con McGovney y Mustaine todavía en el grupo aparece la segunda demo: Live Metal Up Your Ass. Exodus fueron los teloneros de uno de sus concierto y el joven Kirk Hammett dejaría impresionados a James y Lars.



Poco después de la llegada de la banda a Nueva York, Ulrich y Hetfield despiden a Mustaine no sin ponerle un billete de autobús para que volviera a casa (todo un detalle). Es el momento en que Hammett entra en el grupo. Y en 1983 por fin se graba el primer álbum: Kill 'em All. Comienzan las giras y el despegue de la banda.

En 1986 el grupo estaba de gira de presentación del tercer disco con John Marshall debido a la rotura de muñeca de Hetfield en un accidente de skate board. Cuando la banda llega a Europa, a las 6.15 horas del 27 septiembre en las carreteras suecas, Cliff Burton dormía en la litera que debía ocupar Hammett la cual perdió en una apuesta. El autobús volcó cerca de Ljungby. Hammett, Ulrich y Hetfield no sufrieron heridas graves, pero el autobús cayó sobre el bajista tras salir despedido por una de las ventanas causándole la muerte. Jason Newsted ocupó el lugar de Cliff. En 2001, el bajista Jason Newsted deja el grupo alegando motivos personales. Tras barajar a varios músicos sería Robert Trujillo quien entró a formar parte de la banda.

Of course they have won numerous awards 9 Grammys, 2 MTVs, 2 American Music Awards, etc, etc, etc. . .

Black Veil Brides for/para Helena.

Uno de mis personajes, Helena, ha comenzado el año con ganas de contar su historia. Habitualmente nunca pienso en ella ni en su historia. Sin embargo, cuando cojo el bolígrafo su historia se plasma en el papel sin pensar y sin esfuerzo. Y mejor de todo es que creo que es la historia que quería para mi Onixe pero que ella rechazó (no importa, quiero a Onixe tal y como es).

La banda sonora de Helena está siendo la música de Black Veil Brides (BVB). Banda creada en Cincinnati (Ohio) y traslada posteriormente a Hollywood (California). El nombre del grupo viene de Andy Biersack y su fascinación por el Catolicismo de Roma. El termino de Novia de Velo Negro se refiera a la coronación de las monjas quienes se casan con Dios y en la ceremonia visten un velo negro.

El estilo musical se puede clasificar como rock gótico, metal alternativo, glam rock, hardcore o emo. Según Andy es metal melódico, romántico y oscuro en esencia con elementos punk rock, bases de deathcore y heavy metal. Sus influencia Avenged Sevenfold y Alkaline Trio.
