Linkin Park, the perfect OBS

Another of my discoveries while living in Germany. I love the sound of this band. Their strength. When I need to de-stress I start shouting the álbum Hybrid Theory, specially “In the End” song. Yeahhhh, a great discovery. If you need a soundtrack for anything (film, TV Shows, shortmovie, etc.), they are a safe bet. For my birthday I'm going to give away a ticket to go and see them at Camden (Susquehanna Bank Center, 8-15).

Linkin Park is an American rock band with touches of electronic and rap formed in 1996 by Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, and Rob Boudon Mark Wakefield in Agoura Hills (California). The name comes from a pun which refers to Lincoln Park (Santa Monica). Their first material was called Xero. By failing to interest any record, Wakefield who was the main voice in the group, resigns giving way to Chester Bennington. Their first performance was in Los Angeles backed by Jeff Blue (vice president of Warner Bros. Records). Sign with him in 1999 and the first album Hybrid Theory arrives next year. The Singer “In the End” reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and it was 38 weeks.

In 2003, the first live álbum Live in Texas recorded at Reliant Stadium (Houston, Texas) was launched. The second live album was Road to Revolution: Live at Milton Keynes in 2008. The second study was in 2003, Meteora. It entered the Billboard 200in the first position. That year MTV2 named them as the sexth “Best band of the Music Video Era” and the third “Best band of the New Millennium" behind Oasis and Coldplay.

They are in the position 19 of the best artists of the decade of Billboard. In 2002 he arrived in 2004 Reanimation and Collision Course, this one with rapper Jay- Z (Numb / Encore). Since then there have been numerous nominations and awards received. They have been the soundtrack to movies like Twilight and Transformer and video game Linkin Park: 8 bit Revelation! and Medal of Honor.

Linkin Park, la banda sonora original perfecta.

Otro de mis descubrimientos mientras vivía en Alemania. Me encanta el sonido de esta banda. Su fuerza. Cuando necesito desestresarme me pongo a dar gritos con el álbum de Hybrid Theory, especialmente la canción de “In the End”. Síiii, fue un gran hallazgo. Si necesitas banda sonora para cualquier cosa (película, serie, corto, etc), ellos son una apuesta segura. Para mi cumpleaños me voy a regalar una entrada para ir a verles a Camden (Susquehanna Bank Center, 8-15).



Linkin Park es un grupo estadounidense de rock con toques de electrónico y rap formado en 1996 por Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrel, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Boudon y Mark Wakefield en Agoura Hills (California). Su nombre procede de un juego de palabras el cual hace referencia a Lincoln Park (Santa Mónica). Su primer material fue llamado Xero. Al no conseguir interesar a ninguna discográfica Wakefield dimite quien era la voz principal, dejando paso en el grupo a Chester Bennington. Su primera actuación fue en Los Ángeles respaldada por Jeff Blue (vicepresidente de Warner Bros. Record). Firman con él en 1999 y el primer álbum Hybrid Theory llega el año siguiente. El Singer “In the End” alcanzó el segundo puesto del Billboard Hot 100 y estuvo en ella 38 semanas.

En 2003 se lanza el primer disco en directo Live in Texas grabado en el Reliant Stadium (Houston, Texas). El segundo disco en vivo fue Road to Revolution: live at Milton Keynes en 2008. El segundo de estudio fue en 2003, Meteora. Entró en el Billboard 200 en la primera posición. Ese año MTV2 les nombra como la sexta "Mejor banda de la era del vídeo musical" y la tercer "Mejor banda del nuevo milenio" detrás de Oasis y Colplay.

Están en el puesto 19 de los mejor artistas de la década del Billboard. En 2002 llegó Reanimation y en 2004 Collision Course, éste con colaboración del rapero Jay-Z (Numb/Encore). Desde entonces han sido numerosas las nominaciones y los premios que ha recibido. Han sido la banda sonora de películas como Transformer y Crepúsculo y del vídeojuego Linkin Park: 8 bit Revelation! y Medal of Honor.

Los temas de sus canciones son variados y hablan desde problemas personales, desórdenes internos, conflictos en la relaciones, el huracán Katrina, la guerra de Irak, el hambre, la destrucción nuclear, etc.

Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace (3DG) es una banda de rock formada en Norwood, Ontario (Canadá) en 1992. Su nombre original fue Groundswell bajo cuyo nombre sólo grabaron un álbum sin mucho éxito. De aquella formación de cinco, sólo tres se reunirían en 1997: Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson y Brad Walst. Tres años más tarde lanzan su primera demo y tres años más tarde el primer álbum oficial de EDG (el segundo de la formación original). Ese mismo año se une al grupo Barry Stock. El disco como cuarteto fue One-X en 2006 con cuatro sencillos: Animal I Have Become, Pain, Never Too Late y Riot. Este disco fue producido por Howard Benson y ha sido el disco más vendido de la banda. El disco, Life Starts Now, vió la luz en 2009, fue nominado en los premios Juno de 2010, disco de platino en Canadá y oro en EEUU. El quinto álbum fue Transit of Venus lanzado en 2012, estuvo producido por Don Gilmore bajo el sello de Sony Music (SME) y del cual se han extraído dos sencillos: Chalk Outline y The High Road. I love divergent peoplebecause they always provide a fresh air to the daily boredom and who better  than Marilyn Manson to give that special touch?

Marilyn Manson (or Brian Hugh Warner) born in 1969. He's a singer, composer, actor, writer, painter and film director. He is the vocalist of the band's eponymous name, compound from Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. Marilyn has appeared in movies such as Jawbreaker, Lost Highway, and Party Monster alongside Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green. He was part of the cast of Beat the Devil, took part in the documentary Bowling for Columbrine by Michael Moore. Subsequently took part in The Heart Is Decitful Above All Things, Rise: Blood Hunter, School of Clones and Celebrity Deathmatch MTV series. He's ranked 44 in the list of the 100 best vocalists of metal of all time according to Hit Parader. He is certified by the IFPI as one of the 100 most successful artists of all time and the 5th in the Metal industry. He has sold over 50 million records worldwide. His alter ego androgynous is "Omega" who appeared on the album "Mechanical Animals".



As director has directed Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll. As a acurelas painter and artist's paint dry, his work has been exhibited in the Centre of Exhibiicones of contemporary art of Los Angeles, in Paris and in Berlin where his central work was a picture with a Christ with three heads on a piece of wood from a portable embalmers table. Marilyn defines his art movement as the Celebritarian Corporation whose slogan is: "We will sell our shadow to those who are in it".

The band was formed in 1989 in Florida. Their sound could be classified as industrial or alternative metal. Initially they named Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids (was shortened in 1992) by the name of the singer and the guitarist Scott Putesky. In the beginning part of the group were Jeordie White (Twiggy Ramirez) and Stephen Gregory Bier Jr. (Madonna Wayne Gacy). While Marilyn was involved in other groups as Satan on Fire, a group of Christian metal which played bass, and Mrs. Scabtree, where he played drums with Jeordie and his girlfriend Jessicka (Jack Off Jill vocalist).

In 1993, Train Reznor (Nine Inch Nails frontman) notices them and produce their first album in 1994 called Portrait of an American Family. Their fame increased with Smells Like Children 1995, which exceeded one million copies sold. But the success come with Antichrist Superstar, which was co-produced by Trent Renzor and Dave Ogilvie, in 96 just signed with Interscope Records.



Manson made ​​his debut as a producer with the band Jack Off Jill and is the producer of most of the albums of Marilyn Manson. He helped write the songs "Humid Teenage Mediocrity" by Jack Off Jill. He has performed as a guest singer for DMX, 11 and the band Godhead.

The band has always been surrounded by controversy because of his opposition to religious organizations and 'cos their lyrics talk about sex, violence and drugs, in addition to their performances. Rock'n'Canada: Monster Truck.

A new discovery: Monster Truck. I love the old school style! They are the perfect soundtrack to catch the leather jacket, black pants, boots and Chopper and go to a roadbar for a few beers and enjoy good music. Yeeeaaah! See you in Newcastle (I hope).

Monster Truck is a Canadian rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. They won the 2013 Juno Award for BreakThrough Group of Year. Their second EP is produced by Billy Talent, Cancer Bats, Three Days Grace. Furiosity has hints of grunge and punk. Don't miss the booming voice of Jon (don't ask me why but he remind me to Chris Cornell). I like all the songs but for me, the jewel of the album is "Old Train". No "Sweet Montain River". No "Old Train". No, no, no "Sweet Montain River"... all of them.

Son la banda sonora perfecta para coger la chupa de cuero, los pantalones negros, las botas y la Chopper e ir a un garito de carretera a tomar unas cervezas y disfrutar de buena música. ¡Yeeeaaah! Os veo en Newcastle (espero).
