Entre sus grupos de influencia se encuentran AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Judas Priest y Megadeth. Su estilo ha sido descrito como speed metal y heavy metal.
El grupo consiguió una plaza para la segunda edición del Ozzfest pero al estar patrocinado por una marca de licor y al no tener sus componentes la edad legal para beber no pudieron participar porque actuaron en el acto de apertura. Posteriormente estuvieron de gira con Avenged Sevenfold y All That Remains.
Su primer álbum Light From Above tuvo una gran acogida entre los críticos. Alcanzaron el número 73 del Billboard 200 y ganaron el Premio a la Mejor revelación de la revista Kerrang! Fue en el verano de 2008 cuando Alex deja la banda y es reemplazado por Austin "Panix" Díaz. Ese mismo año fueron teloneros de Bullet For My Valentine. En 2009 hicieron su desembarco en Inglaterra y en 2010 volvieron a telonear a Bullet For My Valentine y Escape the Fate. En 2011 fueron teloneros de Iron Maiden y actuaron en el festival de Inglaterra: Sonisphere. En el segundo semestre de 2011 salió su segundo álbum Post mortem y su primer tema en español se incluyó en el EP titulado Al Cielo EP a finales del mismo año.

Back Tide is a heavy metal band created in Miami (Florida) in 2004 but officially debuted in 2008 with Light From Above. The original name of the group was Radio when was created by Gabriel Garcia and his brother Raul Garcia who joined shortly after Alex Nuñez, Zachary Sandler and Steven Spence. Raul shortly after leaved the group.
Among
his influential groups AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera,

The
group achieved a place in the second annual Ozzfest but being sponsored
by a brand of liquor and all they have no legal drinking age
couldn't participate but they played in the opening act. Subsequently they were touring with Avenged Sevenfold and All That Remains.
Their first album Light From Above was well received among critics. Reached number 73 on the Billboard 200 and won for Best Revelation Award from Kerrang! Magazine. It was in the summer of 2008 when Alex left the band and was replaced by Austin "Panix" Diaz. That same year they were opening for Bullet For My Valentine. In 2009 they made their landing in England in 2010 and returned to opening for Bullet For My Valentine and Escape the Fate. In 2011 they opened for Iron Maiden and performed at the festival in England: Sonisphere. In the second half of 2011 came their second album Post mortem and their
first song in Spanish was included in Al Cielo EP little bit later that
year.
