Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge is an American hard rock band formed by Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips (Creed), with Myles Kennedy (The Mayfield Four) in Orlando (Florida). They took the name of a bridge built in the Alter Road route (near Detroit in Michigan) next to the house where Tremonti had grown. The bridge is at the intersection of Alter and Korte to the border between Detroit and Grosse Point Park. As a child Mark was forbidden to cross the bridge so always associated with the new and unknown as well as the election.

Their debut album One Day Remains was in 2004 with the singles Open your Eyes, Find The Real and Broken Wings recorded with Wind-Up Records. The album managed to be certified gold in the U.S. platinum and internationally. The second album was titled Blackbird, was released in 2007 and was their first single Rise Today. The only song Blackbird was named the "Best Single of All Time" by Guitar magazine Magazine. That same year he signed with Universal Republic Records after Wind-Up pressures exerted on them to return to join Scott Stapp (Creed singer) . The third album was released in 2010: AB III, whose first single was Isolation. Fortress was the fourth came after three years including Calm The Fire, All Ends Well, Waters rising and Cry of Achilles.

Alter Bridge es una banda de hard rock formada por Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall y Scott Phillips (de Creed) con Myles Kennedy (de The Mayfield Four) en Orlando (Florida). Tomaron el nombre de un puente construido en la ruta Alter Road (cerca de Detroit en Michigan) próxima a la casa donde Tremonti había crecido. El puente está en una intersección de Alter y Korte que hace de frontera entre Detroit y Grosse Point Park. De niño Mark tenía prohibido cruzar el puente por lo que siempre lo asoció a lo nuevo y desconocido así como a la elección.

Su disco debut fue One Day Remains en 2004 con los singles Open your Eyes, Find The Real y Broken Wings para Wind-Up Records. El disco consiguió ser disco de oro en EE.UU. y platino internacionalmente.  El Segundo álbum fue titulado como Blackbird, salió a la venta en 2007 y su primer single fue Rise Today. El solo de la canción Blackbird fue nombrado el “Mejor Solo de Todos los Tiempos” por la revista Guitar Magazine. Ese mismo año firman con Universal Republic Records tras las presiones que Wind-Up ejerció en ellos para que volvieran unirse a Scott Stapp (cantante de Creed). El tercer disco fue lanzado al mercado en 2010: AB III, cuyo primer single fue Isolation.
