Creed

Creed surgió en Tallahassee (Florida) en 1995 inicialmente bajo el nombre de “Naked Toddler” hasta que se cambiaron el nombre con la unión de Brian Marshall y Scott Phillips a Stapp y Tremonti. Su estilo es fue un grunge “comercial” por lo que recibieron duras críticas a pesar de su éxito comercial. “Higher” fue etiquetado por los críticos como poco original y de copiar al grupo grunge Pearl Jam. Sin embargo el fin de la banda se debió a la mala relación entre sus componentes poniendo el punto y final a su relación en 2004.

Su primer disco fue My Own Prison el cual atrajo la atención de varias discográficas pero ningún contrato se materializó hasta la llegada de Diana Meltzer de Wind-Up con quien se reedita My Own Prison en una versión más radiofónica. La nueva versión llega al 40 del Billboard 200 con los singles My Own Prison, One, What’s This Life For y Torn.

Su segundo álbum fue Human Clay en 1999 el cual debuta como el número 1 en el Billboard 200 y cuyo single Higher pasó varias semanas entre los primeros de la lista al igual que With Arms Wide Open. Marshall fue expulsado del grupo tras criticar a Pearl Jam en una emisora de radio. Fue sustituido por Brett Hestla (Virgos Merlot, Dark New Day).

En 2001 sale My Sacrifice del álbum Weathered. Se convirtió en una de las canciones más inspiradoras tras el 11S. En 2003 fueron demandados por cuatro asistentes a un concierto quienes alegaban que Stapp no estaba en condiciones de cantar por su estado físico. La demanda fue desestimada. Ese mismo año se anunció la separación del grupo.

En 2009 volvieron a reunirse para grabar Full Circle que salió a la venta el 27 de octubre.

However to the side of the poor relationship between its components must putting an end to their relationship in 2004.

Their first album was My Own Prison which attracted the attention of several record but no contract materialized until the arrival of Diana Meltzer of Wind- Up who reissued My Own Prison in a radio version. The new version is 40 on the Billboard 200 with singles My Own Priso , One, What's This Life For and Torn.

His second album was Human Clay in 1999 which debuted as #1 on the Billboard 200 and single Higher which spent several weeks at the top of the list like With Arms Wide Open. Marshall was expelled from the group after criticizing Pearl Jam in a radio station. He was replaced by Brett Hestla (Virgos Merlot, Dark New Day).

In 2001 the album goes My Sacrifice Weathered. It became one of the most inspiring songs after 9/11. In 2003 they were sued by four concert goers who claimed that Stapp was unable to sing for their fitness. The application was dismissed. That same year the group split was announced.

In 2009 they reconvened to record Full Circle which was released on October 27 .
